3rd Simulation Workshop (SW06)

Held in cooperation with the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group for Simulation (ACM SIGSIM) and the INFORMS Simulation Society

28-29 March 2006

The biennial Operational Research Society Simulation Workshop brought together practitioners and academics working in the field of discrete-event simulation. It provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on the current and future state-of-the-art in simulation and modelling.

Location

Ashorne

Ashorne Hill Conference Centre is situated close to Royal Leamington Spa in the West Midlands region of England (London 1 hour, Birmingham 30 minutes). Nearby are Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare’s birthplace) and Warwick’s Medieval Castle.

The Grade II listed building provides excellent accommodation in a rural location. All bedrooms are en-suite and are equipped to the highest standard. The dining area, Dexter’s bar and the coffee lounge provide a relaxed setting for meeting with colleagues. You can enjoy a walk in the extensive grounds and surrounding woodlands, while for the more energetic there is a gym and facilities for playing tennis and squash.
