EXPLICIT AND TACIT KNOWLEDGE
Morosini

Morosini bases this observation on the origins of the words ‘knowledge’ and ‘information’ from the ancient Greek and Latin, where knowledge is gnosis and is distinguished by Plato and other Greek Philosophers into theoretical knowledge and knowledge through observation and experience. Information, on the other hand, is derived from the Latin informationem which in its turn comes from morphe the Greek for a concrete representation of the empirical elements of a phenomenon.
